Update for 27 July...
A pretty wide mix of women today :)
I'm still working on Spanish updates, a brief one today featuring Veronica Echegui (who featured in the last main Spanish update) from the darkly comedic political thriller El Menor de los Males (The Lesser of Two Evils). Basically a well regarded businessman who is about to enter politics goes to a country house owned by his family who cons his sister into believing that he is meeting business contacts, but he is really meeting his mistress (the delectable Veronica Echegui) to break up with her and of course it doesn't go well, because the mistress has gotten wind of this and now has her own agenda. And this ends really really badly. I thought this was pretty good and I like a good dark comedy and I this was a few good laughs, even if it does get a bit nasty towards the end.
The Chatterley Affair is an British TV movie based around the trial in the 60s about the banning of the book Lady Chatterley's Lover and is about two jurors who have an affair based around the experiences in the book. This is much more fruity than most adaptations of Lady Chatterley's Lover, with a number of passages read from the book and plenty of sex scenes, although not much nudity from Louise Delamere. A bit hit and miss, as it feels very contrived, but if you want to look at the indecency trial instead of the boring and usually long (the recent French adaptation was 2 and 3/4 hours long) adaptations of the book, well have a look, but as I said, I'm not a fan of the book/movies even if it has plenty of nudity...
I have a weakness for films about people who race cars, even though I have no interest in cars themselves. So, there's a couple I've capped in this update, Finish Line (strangely retitled Red Mercury here in Australia) and the failed TV pilot Fast Track: No Limits. Well, Finish Line is absolutely awful, hell, one of the worst films I've seen in a while, a poorly written script, terrible acting and charcters doing the most ridiculous and completely dumb things. And then, then, aw fuck it then there's the amazing disappearing nipples of Taylor Cole. There's no attempt to not show the pasties she wears in 2 different scenes. Why? This film just looks unprofessional period, yuck. Fast Track: No Limits is a failed European (possibly German) pilot for an American TV show and well it's pretty dumb but much better than Finish Line, plus it has the excuse that it has contrived scenes that usually make up a pilot. But it has far better car racing scenes and a much better crime related plot, even if it's just as rushed as Finish Line. I told you I was a sucker for these films...
After Sex is an interesting comedic look at what happens after sex, whether it be straight or gay. Both Loaded and Toxic (and for that matter, Chasing Ghosts, a film I've capped earlier) are made by the same people. All three films are have relatively decent B casts, have ridiculously over-the-top shoot outs, have absolutely ludicrous twists and well, are not that good. Not terribly bad, but just pretty much instantly forgetable. Ah well.

Update for 18 July...
A quick Spanish update today, this time focusing on the cute little Spanish actress Veronica Sanchez.
Both films (The 13 Roses and El Calentito) are based in different periods of Franco's/the fascist regime, with El Calentito set at the end of it and 13 Roses set during the Spanish Civil War. The 13 Roses is about 13 women who were killed by the firing squad for being involved in activities that were against the government, some of which were not necessarily involved. El Calentito is about a young virginal girl (Veronica Sanchez) who gets dumped by her horny boyfriend at a club (called El Calentito) and gets drunk and wakes up at the home of a girl punk group that played at the club that night. And the group is about to sign a record deal, but is one member short (who quit that previous night), so the virginal girl is coaxed into the band. From there she joins the band, but on the night that the record company producer is coming to see them play, the revolution starts, causing marshall law on the streets, so will the girls get to play... (of course they do!) The film is not perfect but is a lot of fun and well worth a look if you can find it.

Update for 10-11 July...
A quick series today.
Pathology is about a young hot shot med student who joins a prestigious pathology hospital and gets in with 'the popular group', who just happen to play dangerous games, which just happens to be working out who can pull off the 'perfect murder', undetectable to even the best pathologists. Man, does this film fall off the rails midway through. It starts out with some non-descript murders but then it just gets a bit too much. Major spoiler ahead: You gotta love how in a room that has just exploded, everyone dies except for the main bad guy, who walks away with minor burns, even with two of the dead that can't be recognised. Oh whatever... there's some nice nudity so who cares right?

A brief Australian update for today, well it just turned out that way...
The Australian film Restraint was filmed back in 2005 and well it finally gets a release, in America. No sign of it getting a release in it's home country and considering some of the shit that gets a release here, I don't see why not. It's actually not that bad of a film about a male and a female (Teresa Palmer) fugitives who hole up at a house inhabited by an agoraphobe. The agoraphobe is held hostage, but sees a striking resemblance in the female fugitive to his missing girlfriend, which sets up a power struggle for the mind of the girl. And Teresa Palmer gets naked and looks damn fine... Now that she is fast gathering a profile, who knows whether or not she will get naked on film again. Ah well, at least we have this...
Last Sunday, Valentine's Day premiered on TV here in Australia, about a fallen football legend who is forced to do community service in a small country town as a football coach. And of course, the team must win 3 of the last 4 games or it will merge with the despised local rivals, who they just happen to play in the last game. Oh, every cliche in the book is ticked off, but it's good solid, no fuss entertainment and I haven't seen Freya Stafford in a while, so it's good to see her again. (Same with Jacinta Stapleton).
Hopefully more stuff on the weekend.

Update for 6 July...
Alright, this is going to be a quick update today (well, quick for me), so I'll quickly go through what's on offer.
The Ruins is a surprisingly effective survival horror film about a group of young things who go to an ancient ruins in Mexico but end up forced to stay at the ruins by the locals because they have touched the poisonous vines that surround it. It seems the vines like the taste of human flesh and the group have injured ready for the taking. The films has it's flaws (like why don't the locals just burn the vines) and the ending, well sucks (even though it's different to the one that was apparently shown in cinemas), but for what it is, it's one of the better horror films of recent times. And Laura Ramsey gets naked, finally, and that's not a bad thing...
Delirious is the latest film from eclectic director Tom DiCillo, about a paparazzo (Steve Buscemi) who reluctantly takes in a homeless kid and gives him a non-paying job as his assistant. But when the kid spots pop star K'harma (Alison Lohman), it's instant love. But when the paparazzo and the kid have a falling out and results in the kid becoming famous and getting the girl, the paparazzo takes it badly. This film is OK, and starts off really well with the relationship between the two men, but the longer the film goes, the less intriguing this film becomes as the film ends far too predictably and even a bit sugary considering it's almost hard-nosed beginming. But, that's the celebrity world I suppose...
Fingerprints is a ghost horror / slasher film with an interesting story about a young girl just out of rehab after surviving a drug overdose joins her family in a new town, still haunted by the death of a number of young children when a train crashes into a bus 50 years prior. The girl starts seeing the ghost of one of girls who died while at the same time, people are dying at the hands of stalker. It's an intriguing enough story, but the dies because of it's budget restrictions. Some of the actors are terrible and some of the production looks cheap and results in the film running out of puff. A shame, but it's not all bad...
