Update for 21 June...

22/6 - Kristin Kreuk video fixed.

Alright, another big update, well, really 2 updates fused into one as I had things to do last weekend, plus I've been churning through the episodes of The Wire and finishing up The Sopranos (hey, I might be one of the few people who liked the ending), so I haven't been bothered with capping.

First up is Shooter, which is a by the numbers action thriller that resembles Commando, but is nowhere near as much fun as Commando. It's an OK time waster, but nothing more, but with the bonus of Kate Mara wearing a skin tight top that you can see-through. Partition is a Canadian attempt at a Bollywood epic with Kristin Kreuk as a Pakistani girl (?) who falls for an Indian army officer who is protecting her. It's good to see Jane March back making films and back getting naked. She is the type of woman who is going to look absolutely gorgeous well into old age, not that she's anywhere near that now. The Stone Merchant is an interesting look at terrorism, which is worth a look except I keep running into a naked Harvey Keitel. Man, put some clothes on.

Flourish is a pretty good comedy mystery film about what happens when a babysitter loses the person she was minding. And I've liked Julie Delpy ever since I've seen Killing Zoe and she has been in some great films since like Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. The Hoax is another good film about a man trying to get published the fake Howard Hughes diaries. Cherry Crush with Nikki Reed is a good little thriller about a teenage photographer who has gotten into trouble by taking some risque photos. But, when he goes to a new school, he is instantly attracted to a mysterious girl (Nikki) and gets involved with her affairs after he falls for her. And finally, Popcorn, which is a terrible British teen film about a boy who begins working at a cinema so that he can get the girl of his dreams, who is working her last day at the cinema. Of course, he is hopeless, but with the help of the projectionist who uses the formula of romantic comedies to help him get the girl. At least it has some nice looking girls, although I'm disappointed that I couldn't get anything nice from the female lead Jodi Albert. And yes, Kate Maberly was the little girl from The Secret Garden, now all grown up...

Update for 11 June...

As promised, here is the second update for the week. Just a couple of small ones this time around. Jolene Blalock from the film, Slow Burn, which had a delayed US release, and it's no wonder, the plot is all over the place and Jolene's character seems to be everyone at once, just look at all the hairstyles she's sporting. Then there's Emmanuelle Beart from Un Crime (A Crime), which is an interesting story about a woman (Emmanuelle Beart) who decides to make a suspect for the murder of a taxi driver's (Harvey Keitel) wife to make him feel better, but of course, it all goes wrong. A well told story, even if the story is a little convoluted, and it's always good to see pouty Emmanuelle strut her stuff. Just watch out for some Harvey Keitel nudity, man that guy likes getting naked.

Also a quick bonus of Michelle Borth from the extremely low budget indie zombie horror film Trespassers. I like the look of her, so I thought, why not? So the collages are below.

Update for 9 June...

OK, I'm back after last week's bender, not that I feel any better, but sometimes you just gotta get some shit out of your system and forget about everything that is going to shit in your life. Oh, and by the way, I'm now unemployed again, which is both a good and bad thing and another thing to add to the list. Pfft... on with the update.

I've been interested in seeing Black Snake Moan since I first heard about it and not just because Christina Ricci gets naked in it, but because it sounded like a good film and it was from the bloke who made the excellent Hustle and Flow, so I wanted to see what he could come up with next. And the trailer was a ripper so I was sold. Black Snake Moan is a damn good film about an old bluesman (Samuel L. Jackson) who's wife has just left him for his brother and then happens across a half naked, half dead woman (Christina Ricci) out the front of his property and then helps her get better. But, of course there are complications. She happens to have the itch, which she needs to scratch with any man and the old bluesman wants to cure her of it, so he does what any man would do... he chains her to his house. After a slow start, this film grew on me and I enjoyed it a lot, as I hoped I would. And I mied plenty of caps and videos from it, so lots for you to enjoy.

Carlita's Secret has been on my to do list for a while so I've finally gotten around to it. Of course it stars a pre Desperate Housewives Eva Longoria as a dancer caught up in a Spanish crime family. Of course this film, like most films of this genre is 'influenced' by Scarface, so you kinda get the drift from the film, although it is told more from the woman's prespective. And hot women with that.

As you can see in the menu bar, the Coming Soon section is back. Well, it never went away, I just got a bit lazy. There's an interesting selection coming up, I particularly like Emmanuelle Beart. Also, there should be a quick update in the next couple of days, most likely on Monday seeing as though I ain't working.
