Update for 25 March...

26/3 - Bonus series: Had a few minutes to finish off a bunch of caps of the gorgeous Maggie Q from Naked Weapon, which I wasn't expecting to do, so it's a bonus. Also comes with 4 videos. See below for collages and enjoy!

I keep saying that there hasn't been much released this year in regards to capping, but it's true. I used to go to the video store at least once a week to get the latest releases the day they were released. But, this year, I've only been about 3 or 4 times. Almost half the stuff I've capped has come from stuff I've downloaded off the torrents or the IRC channels, even some of the Australian stuff. But, the last month, I've been raiding my hard drive for stuff I haven't been fussed about releasing and the way things are going, I'm going to get rid of my backlog. Today, I continue the raid...

First up, the controversial Karla, based on a true story of a Canadian couple who becameone of the most notorious sexual predators/serial killers in history. The film is OK, as it tries to uncover the motives behind the wife's involvement in the crimes, but it isn't pretty and the caps don't exactly express how disturbing it gets. The videos do however, so this is a warning that the videos aren't pretty at times.

Rancid is an underrated little thriller about a frustrated writer who goes to a school reunion and meets up again with a former girlfriend who is now a gangster's wife. But, he abuses her something rotten and she confides in the writer and their love reignites, until her husband finds out. He then kills his wife and frames the writer for the murder. Definitely worth a look if you can find it, and I've liked Fay Masterson since Sorted, which seems to be a film that gets capped quite a bit. So, I don't think I'm alone in liking her. And she looks mighty fine here.

Gong Li is finally making her way into Hollywood films after what seems like forever since her brilliant performances in Farewell My Concubine and Raise the Red Lantern. I know Miami Vice has gotten some mixed views and I'm another who is a bit indifferent to the film, but one of the greatest scenes of last year was when Gong Li and Colin Farrell go on a date to Cuba. Right from the boat ride to Cuba and then never ending date, that whole 15 minutes made that film and if only the rest of the film was like that scene. I should say at this point that I've made a couple of collages of Gong Li from the film Zhou Yu's Train, but that would be getting off the point. And she still looks as radiant as ever.

I'm going to briefly go through the rest. Shadowboxer is one strange little film. There is so much dodgy behaviour going on in the film that you wonder how anyone is going to get along. Well, eventually they don't and that's part of the fun and Vanessa Ferlito is no stranger to some dodgy behaviour on film/TV. In case you haven't realised, Ken Loach is left wing filmmaker, but Ae Fond Kiss... is probably his least left wing film in a long while as an Arab man falls in love with a blonde Caucasian woman. Standing Still is another film about wedding jitters, but if the bride to be's old lesbian lover comes back to town for the wedding, it can't be all bad, can it. Yes is well, the most pretensious film I've seen in a while as the whole script is done in rhyme... And Stephanie Leonidas appears in both Yes and Vanished and she is a very pretty girl. I might get around to capping MirrorMask one day.

Well, over the next couple of weeks, two Australian films are getting a release to DVD, Macbeth and Solo, both of which have some choice stuff to cap, so they will appear on the site in the coming weeks. Other than that, I'll keep raiding the hard drive. But don't expect much as even that is running thin.

Update for 18 March...

As I've been saying for since the start of the year, there really isn't that much about at the moment. So this week, I've just decided to go through stuff that I'm not in a hurry to release and just dump it out there. Most of it is just actresses looking good and there is only one or two caps only from each actress.

I can't be bothered saying anything, so enjoy the caps...

The Spanish Armada

As promised, this update is full of Spanish or Latina women. It's a day late, but that is because today is a day off here, so it gave me extra to do the update and put some more stuff up. This update was going to be over 2 weeks, but I've done all bar one series (which is from the film Torremolinos 73), so this is the Spanish update.

I said last week that I'd introduce you to a new fave of mine, Maria Valverde. Sometime in the last 12 months, I saw a film called The Weakness of the Bolshevik about an older man who meets a young girl and falls for her (it's amazing how middle aged men fall for young teenage girls in European films...), and was taken by Maria and made a mental note to look out for her in the future. Then I downloaded a film called Melissa P. because I saw that she was in it and wow, right from the opening scene, I was hooked. She plays a 14 year old girl (I will say at this point that Maria was 18 years old at time of filming) who begins her sexual awakening but ends up taking it too far. Maria dominates the film and she is absolutely gorgeous in a very demanding role. Take a look below at how demanding... I'm just about to watch a film called Los Borgia so here's hoping she has a big role in it (although it looks like another Spanish period ensemble piece).

Then there's Paz Vega... Wow... Wow. One of these days I'm going to cap Sex and Lucia, but for now, I've capped the film Carmen and for about a 20 minute period, clothes are optional. Just look at the videos page. There are some big videos there (a couple over 100MB). The story of Carmen has been done a thousand times and this is a pretty unremarkable effort if you look past the nudity. Ah well...

I'm going to quickly go through the rest, which feature a number of my favourite Spanish women. I like Álex de la Iglesia films, particularly Mutant Action, The Day of the Beast (which is brilliant) and 800 Bullets. So the made for TV film La Habitacion del Nino was always something I was going to look at. It's actually a pretty good supernatural thriller, and Leonor Watling gets naked, but the scene is pretty disturbing as she gets stabbed, so that's just a warning.

I've taken another stab at Abre Los Ojos, which has one of the great nude scenes with Penelope Cruz, just sitting on top of a bloke, naked, pondering life or something, looking like life is just perfect as is. Of course in the film (which was remade in America as Vanilla Sky), it isn't, but one can dream, right? My current fave Spanish actress is Natalia Verbeke, so it would be remiss of my to have a Spanish update without her. Not much, but that smile is too much for me to pass up. And finally, Cecilia Roth and her many guises in the interesting thriller Lucia, Lucia and she looks great for someone who was in her mid 40s during filming.

I got a comment on my board last week that I don't do enough nudity at my site, but that is because of a number of reasons. One being that there isn't that much in American films. The main being that I'm interested in much more than a nude woman. Women can look fantastic in clothes, even better than being in the nude in a lot of cases. No, I haven't gone mad, I actually think this, so I like to capture a woman looking her best.

So, to whoever made the comment, I hope you enjoy this update because there is so much nudity in it, possibly the most ever in an update...

Back on the road again

Not much this week. I'm not that inspired to cap at the moment, plus there really isn't that much around on DVD. I suppose that it's a good time to have a lull then...

I've already commented on Marie Antoinette, that I found it very disappointing, so I'll just say that I'm releasing my seamless DVD caps and videos from the film and move on.

The Oh in Ohio is a passable sex comedy, nothing really that spectacular except for the fact that apparently Danny De Vito can nail Parker Posey... Hard to picture, but it happens. Also, I remember thinking that Mischa Barton would become an actress to be reckoned after her good performances in her child and teenage movies, but here she is pretty uninspiring, just beautiful. Ah well...

And finally Fast Food Nation looks to lift the lid off the fast food industry and does a good job in doing so, but let's face it, who's gonna stop eating fast food after watching this. And I like Ana Claudia Talancon, she is a very radiant beauty. And I'd like to see more from Catalina Sandino Moreno, she doesn't have a big role here (nor does anyone really), but she was great in Maria Full of Grace. I'm gonna take a look at Journey to the End of the Night in the next week or two, but I've heard bad things about it, so I don't know.

I know I don't sound so inspired at the moment, but I've starting to perk up a bit now that I'm going through some Spanish films. Every 6 months or so, I go back to one my favourite subjects, Spanish women, and I've come across some pretty saucy stuff in the past few weeks from a vast array of old favourites and newcomers. Next week, I hope to introduce you to Maria Valverde, a new favourite of mine.

And come on, go rent Shortbus on DVD. If you can pass the first 10 minutes, which is pretty full on, you'll love it and enjoy the final 20 minutes when you realise that every woman can orgasm... (I haven't given away the ending. You know that is going to happen, just not how it happens :D)

But I should also say that Shortbus is not for everyone. Repeat, not for everyone...
